Open Graph meta tags are snippets of code that control how URLs are displayed when shared on social media.

They’re part of Facebook’s Open Graph protocol and are also used by other social media sites, including LinkedIn and Twitter.

You can find them in the <head></head>§6 section of a webpage. Any tags with og: before a property name are Open Graph tags.

In the Knowledge base you can edit the meta tags content including:

  • OG Title
  • OG Description
  • OG Image link

OG Title

This is the title of your knowledge base.

Remember that this will be shown whenever someone shares your knowledge base link on social media.

You can edit and add your own text inside the html <meta property=”og:title” content=”” />§6 tags.

OG Description

This is where you describe your content, but instead of it showing on a search engine results page, it shows below the link title when someone shares your knowledge base link on social media.

You can edit and add your own text inside the html <meta property="og:description" content="" />§6 tags.

OG Image link

The OG Image link is used to specify the URL of the image that appears when someone shares your knowledge base link on social media.

You can edit and add your own image link inside the html <meta property="og:image" content="" />§6 tags.

To find and edit these settings, follow the steps below:

STEP 1

Open graph page

STEP 2

  • In the settings on the right, you can edit OG Title, Description, and OG Picture.

STEP 3

  • Once you are done editing these settings, make sure to click the 'Apply' button so the changes can appear in the live preview of the Knowledge base.
Apply og settings

That's it!
